Now Hiring Progressive Voter Network Campaign Organizers and Leadership Staff!

 

We are currently working on a range of issues, from global warming and our national energy policy to protecting national parks like the Grand Canyon from toxic pollution.  We need leaders in DC to advocate common sense solutions to these and other problems.  We are starting from the ground up and we are starting now—by building a network of trained volunteers that can advance policy solutions. 

 

If we want to combat global warming, increase access to higher education, provide healthcare for all Americans, end corruption in Washington, and change course in Iraq, we must work to change politics as usual and ensure that Congress is listening to real people rather than lobbyists. 

 

Progressive Voter Network is hiring Campaign Organizers and Leadership Staff to work to build local networks of concerned volunteers in critical parts of the country.  The volunteers in each network will participate in timely local campaign activities to advance important national issues.

 

We are looking for passionate, dedicated, responsible people who are willing to work hard to achieve positive change.  Experience with campaigns, building and leading groups, and recruiting and training volunteers is preferred, but not necessary. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

* Work in targeted congressional districts to recruit, train, and manage these crucial networks of volunteers.

* Recruit volunteers through phone calls, emails, individual interactions and community events.

* Train volunteers in key organizing skills, including organizing a district meeting with their member of congress, holding a press conference in their district or generating grassroots support on a particular issue.

* Manage and mobilize volunteers by meeting weekly with lead volunteers to plan upcoming campaign tactics in their district, ongoing volunteer recruitment and training.

* Recruit new members and donors for local, state and national progressive groups.

 

We are hiring both entry-level and experienced/leadership staff in the following locations: AZ, CO, FL, IA, ME, MI, MN, MO, NV, NH, NM, NC, OH, OR, PA, VA, WA, WI.
